Heeeeyyy everybody! Just letting you all know that I had also created a Wicked rg site that's run by myself and Mustapha (we're both Glinda and Elphaba respectively). Here's the plot and sub-plots and come visit us if it interests you!
It has been seven years since the demise of the Wicked Witch of the West. Oz has been thriving under the reign of Ozma Tippetarius, who was discovered living under the guise of a boy; a foul plot designed by her own father, King Pastoria, who did not wish to give up his title to his daughter, the rightful ruler of Oz. Though she is young, she is fair, and the destruction caused by the Wizard is slowly but surely being patched up.
But some things can never be mended.
Believing magic has always been a factor in the destruction of their society, Ozma has banned the practice of it, allowing only her own ministers to wield such power. Glinda the Good, who has escalated from Witch status to Sorceress, now rules more than just the Gillikin Country she hailed from. She now oversees all under their child leader, tending to the things that Ozma cannot. The Quadling Country has become her latest project, attempting to civilize it in memory of her dear old friend who was once raised there...
Not all are pleased with the banning of magic, as expected. Black markets and hidden teaching societies are springing up all across the darker corners of Oz, and some are even growing bold enough to surface in well-known establishments of learning, such as Shiz University. Ozma is aware of the treachery going on in her kingdom, but she has yet to find the source of these on-goings. Little does she know, the head of this black organization might be one of her very own...
Meanwhile, rumors of a black shadow flying across the skies have spread across the land. Is this a blatant show of disrespect towards Princess Ozma's ban on magic? Or...is it something or someone else?
Emerald City Plot
The capital city of Oz is trying its best to maintain order during this trying time in Oz, where people are still searching for the selves they had lost during the reign of the Wizard. The monarch, Ozma of Oz, is trying to do her best, though there is only so much she can do. Many people are afraid of a ruler, feeling as though there might be a repeat of the Wizard episode. It doesn't help that Ozma is young and inexperienced, and is in her teenage years, where she is trying to find herself. Glinda and Ozma's other consorts are doing the best they can to keep things running smoothly and teach the girl ruler what she needs to know...while a black shadow flies across the city, keeping them all on their toes...
Shiz Plot:
The University that Elphaba and Glinda went to as teenagers has changed since those years, as everything has under Ozma's rule. Wishing only the best intentions, Ozma has required that the initial entrance essay be dropped, so that more people can attend the school. But this means that some more interested in partying can buy their way into the classes. The genders are allowed to mingle now, since Ozma refuses to segregate, and this tends to add on to the chaos. Still, many are interested in learning...and that can be hard to do, in such an environment. And it doesn't help that there's rumors of the Black Market investing themselves in Shiz as well, eager to find new students for their practice... It's a war: the socialites against the educationalists. Who will win domination over Shiz?
Animal Plot:
While the bans on Animals have been lifted long ago (during Glinda's reign after the Wizard), it is still hard to build back and regain what you had over the dismal years. And not just materialistically, either. Humans are still afraid to trust the Animals, which means that they tend not to offer them jobs. Despite the efforts of the Emerald City, Animals are practically still segregated in this aspect, and they are fighting for their rights, trying to get the humans to respect them as they had before the Wizard. It's no easy fight, though...but they are rallying together, determined to show all of Oz their worth. With or without Ozma's help.
Black Market Plot:
Ozma's first act as a royal was to ban the black magic that enchanted her for years. It was an act of good intention, and while some cared little on the matter, others took offense. If they could not practice their magic, how would they survive? How could they protect themselves? And what right did a girl have to take away a hobby and pleasure? One man began a secret meeting, for those who wished to still perform the craft, and thus the Black Market began. Now they are spreading across the country, hidden groups of talent biding their time...working up the best of spells and recruiting as many talents as possible. Together, they can go against the Ozma Regent and have the ban removed once and for all...else Oz will pay the price.
Quadling Project Plot:
The Quadlings are perhaps defined as the most useless place in Oz. Once the rubies were mined from the swamps, there was little left. The Wizard had detroyed what few cities were there, and while a few towns survived...it seemed like a hopeless place to be. Until Glinda. She knew that the place meant much to her friend, Elphaba, and decided she would make a change in this place. Establish a real city, make it a part of Oz's economy. And, recruiting members of the Gale Force, and citizens who care to make a difference, she has set out to help the Quadlings rebuild their lives. It won't be easy, of course, and some of the people are even refusing government help -- and who can blame them, really? They might fight it...but Glinda is determined to see it through. Though, it is starting to get dangerous...
