Scaramouche was in deep concentration. She was busy practicing on her guitar. Everyone knew that her talent to play the Hairy Ones Mighty-Axe came naturally to her, but she still practiced everyday, trying out new rifts and notes, mixing them together and even singing along with them. She hated to be disturbed while she was practicing so she had closed the door to the music room and glued a note to it. Scara's in here, it stated in bold, messy script, PISS OFF!.
The Bad- Assed Babe took a deep breath and strummed her guitar. It let out a loud echoing note. She closed her eyes and strummed again, letting the music wash over her. " Yes, we'll keep on tryin'" she sang along quietly as she played " Yes, tread that fine line..."

Alice stood with her ear pressed against the door to the music room, listening with excitement to Scaramouche practicing. She loved the sound of guitars, especially the hairy one's axe. Whenever she could she would sit at the door of the music room listening to the guitar riffs coming from inside. But she was always careful to be out of the way when Scaramouche was finished, she didn't think she would like it if someone had been eavesdropping on her. The note pinned to the door was a good indication of that.
Smiling, Alice sat down and leaned against the door and brought out a small sketch pad and pencil, content to doodle while listening to the music.

Scaramouche paused from her playing, narrowing her eyes slightly. She sensed someone was at the door, eavesdropping. If that's Figgy, she thought as she put down her guitar and walked towards the door, he's an unlucky man.
She walked up to the door and swung it open quickly, not even thinking that the eavesdropper would be leaning against it.

Absorbed in her doodles of stars, music notes and some weird hearts with wings, Alice didn't hear Scaramouche stop playing and was startled when the door she was leaning against was flung open. She lost her balance and toppled over backwards, losing her pencil as it rolled into the room. Lying on the floor she was startled to find herself almost looking up Scaramouche's nose. "Um...hi Scara." she said, sheepishly.

Scaramouche jumped backwards to avoid having Alice crush her feet. The purple haired bohemian closed her eyes momentarily, trying to control her anger. She didn't want to shout at Alice and frighten her.
When she opened her eyes again, Scaramouche took a calming breath and crouched down so that she was next to the small girl. " Alice..." she began in an exasperated tone " What are you doing in front of the door? Where's Ramona?" she asked as she held out a gloved hand to assist her up.

Alice gladly took the offered hand and stood up, brushing herself down. "I was listening to you play guitar." she said, looking at her feet. She knew she should have been paying attention and scarpered when the music had stopped but she had been distracted by drawing. "And Ramona's around...some where. Erm...sorry Scaramouche..." She bit her lip and hoped she wasn't in too much trouble.

Scaramouche sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, closing her eyes once more. When she opened them up again, she gave Alice a hard stare.
" Alice, you know I don't like people listening to me pratice. I think I explained that to everyone about a thousand times!" she stated, crossing her arms.

Alice shuffled her feet uncomfortably under the glare of Scaramouche. "Sorry" she said again "I just like the sound of it...um...can I have my pencil back? Then I'll go." She pointed at the pencil in the room behind the older girl and looked up at her with wide, pleading eyes.

Scaramouche wasn't usually the soft type of person, ask anyone, but something about the sight of little Alice staring up at her with wide, pleading eyes, broke her slightly. Her eyes softened and she turned around and picked up the pencil on the floor.
Handing it back to Alice, Scaramouche let out a small sigh.
" I guess... it wouldn't hurt if you stayed to listen this time..." she said, shrugging her shoulders and shaking her head slightly. She let out a loud laugh. " Look at me! I'm turning into a big pushover like Figgy!" she giggled, picking up her guitar once more.

Alice grinned happily as she took her pencil "Really?" She bounced on the balls of her feet and quickly shut the door behind her before practically skipping into the room and sitting herself on an upturned box. "I won't disturb you honest" she said eagerly, watching Scaramouche and fiddling with her note pad and pencil. She was pleased that Scaramouche was letting her stay...she'd been worried that she'd annoyed her and was going to get into trouble.

Scaramouche grinned at Alice and tuned her guitar. " Well, let's see if you know this song." she said as she began strumming the opening rifts to Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

Alice listened intently and the guitar chords formed into the tune of "Crazy little thing called love"
"Oooh, I know this one!" she grinned and stood up on the box "This thing, called love, I just can't handle it" she sung, giggling and dancing along to the guitar.

Scaramouche grinned and joined in, belting out the song louder than she ever sang while she was praticing. " This thing, called love, I must, get around to it! I ain't ready! Crazy little thing called love!" she sang, laughing and strumming her guitar.

"Crazy little thing called love!" Alice sung along with Scaramouche. Giggling, she got up and began dancing and singing around the room "This thing called love, it cries in a cradle all night. It swings, it jives..." she wasn't much of a singer but it was a lot of fun being able to sing with Scaramouche and her guitar.

"...Shakes all over like a jellyfish! I kinda like it! Crazy little thing called love!" Scaramouche sang, giving Alice an encouraging nod to keep singing while she played the Mighty Axe. Thinking about Galileo, she sang the next line, changing some of the lyrics, with lots of emotion. " There goes my baby, he knows how to rock and roll. He drives me crazy!" she sang sticking out her tongue and rolling her eyes at the crazy part, " He gives me hot and cold fever, he leaves me in cool cool sweat."
